What's on our site?

Our Site is a catalogue of movies, created for Halloween enthusiasts to easily explore and find new movies to watch.
*We only include films that we think are worth watching*

We include a short review for each film, telling you what is great about the film, as well as interesting facts and the main cast. There are no negative reviews although we do critique certain elements of films.
*We do not put spoilers in our reviews*

To make it on our site, a film must be one of three following:

Take place on Halloween or have Halloween imagery

Be spooky, scary or terrifying

Have characters you could dress up in costume as
Who are we?

We are a team of two, a designer and a developer, based in Toronto Canada.

Our designer writes the reviews, it is a lot of fun but also a lot of tedious work. We are constantly looking for new films we haven't seen, re-watching films, and we do quite a bit of research on each film.

We have probably watched more than 1000 films for the website, most of which we didn't think were good enough to make it on the site.
How do we make money?

Our site is mostly a passionate project but we do make money off the ads that run on the site, we would appreciate it if you turned off your ad blocker on our site, there are no annoying pop-up ads.

In the future we would like some more income streams, please shoot us an email if you have an opportunity.
Our Goals

Our main goal is for you to have a great a Spooktober watching all your favourite films and discovering new ones.

We are hoping to have 300 films on the site by the end of 2024, and 600 by the end of 2025.

In the future we would like to have a merch shop, create partnerships, and possibly create videos on our YouTube page.
Why Did We create this site?

We created this site because we had a difficult time finding new Halloween movies to watch, there are many "Top 25" articles on the internet, but they all have the same generic lists of films.

The site started as our own list of movies that we would email to friends and family every year, and as it grew we began to add commentary and eventually it became so large we decided to put it on a website.
