This is a horror movie set in space is a must-see masterpiece.
Although this film came out at the end of the 70's, the acting and special effects are very 80’s, in a good way (it was a different time).
The star is the INCREDIBLE sets and special effects that rival Star Wars, which came out around the same time.
The lead of this franchise, Sigourney Weaver, also shines with an outstanding performance, giving us one of our first bad*ss female heroes in film history.
There are definitely some disturbing and nail biting scenes but the film is low on scare factor.
It is really fascinating to see how people in this time imagined how future technology and space travel would look.
There are 8 sequels in this franchise, we recommend watching the first sequel; the other sequels don't achieve the same greatness but you still may want to watch them.
Features Sigourney Weaver, John Hurt, Harry Dean Stanton, Yaphet Kotto, Ian Holm, Veronica Cartwright, Tom Skerritt, and Boladji Badejo as the alien.
