Annabelle Creation

This prequel is the origin story to the doll 'Annabelle' and is markedly better than the original, especially the story and characterization.
We would recommend you watch the original film first so that you aren't let down by it, although it is still a good film.
We get to fall in love with this characters in this film, they have depth, which was a flaw in the original.
The atmosphere is great, full of suspense to make your heart pound faster, lots of great scares, and the acting is very good too.
We love that film makes use of special effects rather than CGI in some scenes.
There is a good sequel to watch too, 'Annabelle Comes Home' (2019).
The Annabelle doll in the Conjuring Universe is based on a real-life Raggedy Ann doll that is said to be haunted. The real Annabelle is kept in a glass case in the Warren’s Occult Museum in Monroe, Connecticut.
