We really enjoyed this thrilling remake of the original for a new and modern audience, the changes to the story make it fresh while still staying true to the spirit of the original.
This is definitely made for a modern audience, fast paced with lots of action to keep our attention and prevent phone scrolling.
The acting from the whole cast is great, some great special effects, and the doll is wonderfully creepy tech version of Chucky that is part puppet, animatronic, and CGI.
There is much much more gore than in the original and we get one very epic death scene, which you may or may not find funny, the film is quite campy and scary at the same time.
Overall, this is probably one of the best remakes ever made, we feel confident calling this a must-see, but if you're a die hard fan of the original film series, maybe skip this one and let the teens of today enjoy it.
Features Aubrey Plaza, Gabriel Bateman, David James Lewis, Carlease Burke, Brian Tyree Henry, Beatrice Kitsos, Ty Consiglio, the voice of Mark Hamill, and others.
