This lesser-known film came out at the beginning of the Paranormal renaissance in the 2010's, and it is a welcome addition and must-see near masterpiece.
We love how dark the lighting is in this film, but seriously, why doesn't this guy turn on the lights?
There isn't much gore in this film, but boy is it scary, we get goosebumps just thinking about it, so chilling.
There a few excellent jump scares, but mostly the suspense and tension is what gets you here.
If ghost children scare the hell out of you, then maybe skip this, or maybe you should watch it?
Grounds for divorce, am I right? It's not a few doors down, it is it haha
The acting is excellent, one of Hawkes best performances, the score is decent.
We only wish the film had a more intense score and maybe some more scares and gore, but overall this is a must-see film that will make you want to turn the lights on.
There is one sequel so far that is less successful, no rumours yet as to another one.
Features Ethan Hawke, James Ransone, Fred Thompson, Juliet Rylance, and others.
