This sequel has pretty bad ratings, but we think that is in some part due to hatred inspired review bombing due to social issues explored in the film.
Just like in the original, feminism is a theme, but we also explore much more.
This film is decidedly not for fans of the first film, it is for teens of the 2020's, this is a "requel" for a new generation.
Whereas the original film had character development for all of the girls, this sequel focuses more on the main character, which we think was a bit of a mistake.
This film is also softer, it really doesn't fall into the horror genre, there is nothing scary.
You can physically see the magic in this film, also a mistake, no continuity with the original and also a bit cheesy.
There is quite a few problems with the plot too, this film really got lost along the way, some poor editing, but mostly just a lot of loose ends.
However, if you are young, you will probably enjoy this film, so ignore what the old folks say.
