A Valentine's Day slasher to watch with your sweet heart.
The trailer for this film has certainly been successful in building excitement for what looks like a classic teen slasher comedically embracing tropes.
We love the unique mask of the villain, but how does he see anything?
Features Jordana Brewster, Olivia Holt, Mason Gooding, and others.
Directed by Josh Ruben, well known for his many acting roles, we hope he knocks it out the park this time directing, 'Werewolves within' (2021) was not done baking.

this film promises a chilling satanic story, but that's all we really know so far, the trailer doesn't give away too much, but also doesn't give us much to sink our teeth into.
This film is sure to be one the biggest Black films of the year, we love that more and more black stories are being told, and more black folks are getting to tell stories in film, particularly horror.
Features Michael B. Jordan and others.
directed by Ryan Coogler, most famous for 'Black Panther' (2028).
Locked (March 21, 2025)
Another new tech story, we are honestly impressed at the ingenuity, just when you think they couldn't possibly design another horror movie around tech, they always do.
The film is a remake of the Argentine original '4x4' (2019), which already had a Brazillian remake, 'A Jaula' (2022).
The trailer for this film has caused quite a stir, very well done.
Features horror darling Bill Skarsgård, the clown from 'IT' (2017) and the hideous vampire in 'Nosfertau' (2024), in a role where you actually see his face.
Directed by David Yarovesky who is most famous for the super hero horror film 'Brightburn' (2019).
The Woman In The Yard (March 28, 2025)

A classic summer camp slasher flick, great trailer, this looks like a very fun film, funny and campy.
This film filled with rising Gen Z stars Features Finn Wolfhard from 'It' (2017), Fred Hechinger from 'Gladiator II' (2024), Abby Quinn, and others.
Believe it or not, this film is directed by 22 year old Finn Wolfhard who is also the star, this kid must have some serious cash from his many seasons starring in the tv series 'Stranger Things' (2016-2025), we can't wait to see how this film pans out for him, you got balls kid.
Until Dawn (April 25, 2025)
This wildly popular video game (2015) makes it silver screen debut, sure to be controversial for loyal fans of the video game franchise, we are really hoping they strike the right balance of staying true to the game while adapting to a new medium.
The first trailer for this film was terrible! it simultaneously shows too much of the film while also being kind of boring. The new trailer below is much better, expertly crafted.

M3GAN 2.0 (June 27, 2025)
The sequel to the hit film 'M3gan' (2022), this sci-fi horror movie is expected to bring more thrills and chills from the iconic killer robot doll. I Know What You Did Last summer (July 18, 2025)
Little is known about this sequel to the original film of the same name 'I Know What You did Last Summer' ( 1997). We anticipate this sequel to be more of a "requel", two returning legacy characters from the original are expected to pass the torch of this franchise to a new generation.
We are sure this film will be controversial for older fans of the franchise.

The 4th and final installment in 'the Conjuring' (2013) franchise, wrapping up the story of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. The film is rumoured to be based on the true haunting of the Smurl family, which occurred in 1986.

Directed by actor Maggie Gyllenhaal, now turned director; we believe this is her directorial debut.
The Black Phone 2 (October 17, 2025)
A sequel to the Paranormal and Crime horror film 'The Black Phone' (2021). We are surprised there is a sequel based on how the first film ended, but it was definitely successful enough for Hollywood to resurrect this storyline.
Features Ethan Hawke, Mason Thames, Madeleine McGraw, Jeremy Davies, Demián Bichir, Miguel Mora, Arianna Rivas, and others.
Directed by Scott Derrickson, known for 'Sinister' (2012) and 'The Exorcism of Emily Rose' (2005).
Thread: An Insidious Tale (???)
Alright, this is our most mysterious film release of the year.
All we know is that it will be about a couple using a spell book to time travel.
Did anyone ask for this film? No, absolutely no one. Are we disappointed this film has been made? Yes, absolutely.
This incredible franchise had 5 films in it, 'Insidious: The Red Door' (2023) was supposed to be the last film, the storyline was neatly tied up with a bow... but alas... we are getting this film which we expect to be similar in style and quality to the later films in the 'Paranormal Activity' (2007) franchise.
We know two actors in the film and that is it, this production has been kept totally under wraps.
Features Mandy Moore, Kumail Nanjiani, and others (presumably).
Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein (???)
We have no idea when this remake of the masterpiece 'Frankenstein' (1932)
Absolutely star studded cast features Ralph Ineson, Mia Goth, Oscar Isaac, Christoph Waltz, Burn Gorman, Charles Dance, Jacob Elordi, David Bradley, Lars Mikkelsen, Lauren Collins, and others.
Directed by the legendary Guillermo Del Toro.
We hope you enjoyed our list of The Most Anticipated Horror Movies of 2025.
Be sure to return for updates throughout the year & share with your spooky friends.
Cheers! Have a great year.
