If you enjoy thought-provoking, dark, and often unsettling stories that explore the intersection of technology and society, Black Mirror is definitely worth watching. The series lies at the intersection of sci-fi and horror. Has won many awards including 6 Emmys. A new season is in production and should be released in 2025.

Love, Death & Robots (2019 - present)

Somewhat similar to 'Black Mirror' except that this anthology is animated. A standout feature of this anthology is its diverse animation styles; Each episode is animated by different crews from around the world, resulting in a rich tapestry of visual storytelling that has won multiple awards. The series was renewed in 2022.

Cabinet Of Curiosities (2022 - present)

This horror anthology series features eight standalone episodes, each presenting a unique horror story that delves into the macabre and the supernatural. A French horror series that follows a successful horror novelist, who discovers that the terrifying characters she writes about in her books are coming to life. When she returns to her hometown, she realizes that the evil spirit, Marianne, who has haunted her dreams, is now wreaking havoc in the real world. The short lived series was praised for its ability to create a genuinely unsettling and eerie atmosphere, many viewers believe it was cancelled for being too scary.

A Discovery of Witches (2018 - 2022)

This British fantasy drama series is based on the "All Souls Trilogy" books and the follows a witch and a vampire that have formed an alliance to uncover the secrets of a manuscript and to protect it from those who would use it for evil. The show is known for its lush production design, compelling performances, and a mix of romance, action, and supernatural elements.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer (1997 - 2003)

this action packed supernatural drama follows Buffy, a teenage girl who is the latest in a long line of “Slayers.” Slayers are young women chosen by fate to battle against vampires, demons, and other forces of darkness. Buffy is a rarity in that it lasted 6 seasons and even spawned an excellent spin-off which is series 'Angel'.

True blood (2008-2014)

This fantasy horror drama follows a telepathic waitress who encounters a world of vampires and other supernatural beings. The show explores themes of love, power, and prejudice, blending elements of horror, romance, and drama.

True Blood received critical acclaim for its unique storytelling, complex characters, sexuality, nudity, and social commentary.

The Vampire Diaries (2009 - 2017)

This very successful and long running series follows a high school girl who becomes entangled in the lives of two vampire brothers. Interview with a vampire (2022 - present)

A gothic horror series based on Anne Rice’s iconic novel of the same name. The story follows a vampire who recounts his life to a journalist beginning in early 20th-century New Orleans. The series delves into themes of love, immortality, and the struggles of being a vampire, while also embracing queer elements. It has been praised for its atmospheric storytelling, strong performances, and faithful adaptation of the source material.

What We Do in the Shadows (2019 - current)

This comedy horror mockumentary is a spin-off of the 2014 film of the same name and follows the nightly lives of four vampire roommates living in new York. The series blends humour with supernatural elements, exploring the vampires’ interactions with humans and other supernatural beings. It has received critical acclaim for its witty writing, unique characters, and clever take on vampire lore. a sixth season should be released in 2024.

The Strain (2014 - 2017)

A horror drama series Created by Guillermo del Toro. The story follows the head of the CDC’s in New York City, he and his team are called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak that has the hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, he must fight to save humanity from this terrifying threat.

The series is known for its intense and dark atmosphere, combining elements of horror, thriller, and science fiction. It received praise for its unique take on the vampire genre and its compelling storytelling.

Forever Knight (1992 - 1996)

A horror series that follows an 800-year-old vampire who works as a homicide detective in modern-day Toronto. Wracked with guilt over centuries of killing, he seeks redemption by solving crimes and helping people, all while struggling to find a way to become human again. The show was praised for its unique premise and the depth of its main character. For fans of zombie apocalypses, The Walking Dead is top tier. The series follows a group of survivors navigating a world overrun by zombies, dealing with both the undead and the living threats they encounter. Many viewers stopped watching after the brutal death of a beloved character in episode 1 of season 7. The smash hit series has spawned a whole universe of spin-off shows.

Z Nation (2014 - 2018)

A horror comedy series set three years after a zombie virus has decimated the United States. It follows a group of survivors on a mission to transport the only known survivor of the virus from New York to California in humanity’s last hope for a vaccine. Z Nation is known for its fast-paced action, quirky characters, and unique blend of horror and comedy. It has garnered a dedicated fanbase for its entertaining and often unpredictable storytelling.

This South Korean coming-of-age zombie apocalypse horror series tells the story centers on a group of high school students who find themselves trapped in their school during a sudden zombie virus outbreak. The series explores themes of survival, friendship, and the moral dilemmas faced by the students as they navigate the chaos of the outbreak. The series is Known for its intense action sequences, emotional depth, and suspenseful storytelling, the show has been praised for its ability to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

Ash Vs Evil Dead (2015 - 2018)

A comedy horror series set in the 'Evil Dead' universe created by Sam Raimi, with Bruce Campbell reprising his iconic role as Ash Williams from the original film series. The show follows Ash, who has spent the last thirty years avoiding responsibility and the terrors of the Evil Dead.
